    No sales to ???

    I'm used to seeing "NO sales to California!" and similar crap on the auction sites but today I cam across a variation I hadn't seen before:

    "No sales to Cali or any place like it."

          This always irritates me as well, I have passed on several GB or GA auctions for guns I would otherwise have liked to buy. However, at least twice I have factually informed the seller about my region's relevant regulations (SD county) and they have sold to me as a result.

          A lot of sellers/dealers outside CA do not want to take the 15 minutes it would take to register as CA-legal firearm dealers, in other cases there are laws preventing mail order sales (in particular, for ammo) that they have no control over. I've found that a "gee, I agree that CA sucks but I'm stuck here, please understand" E-mail can help....
