Glock Gadget (aka Striker Control Device)-Love It

Ran across these not too long ago, ordered one, loved it (except for the price), then got another. Keep thumb on back of slide when re-holstering and you will instantly know if there is an issue. On my 43 and 30 for carry, it's just a bit more peace of mind when re-holstering, very effective.

Any of you guys use the Gadget?

I have thought about trying one out. I carry a G43 AIWB fairly often and especially during range practice holster removal for holstering is not always practical. I always "look" the gun into the holster to be sure nothing is in the way but it still gives me the willies despite having done it for years and being very careful.

I think I will order one and try it out.

I'd rather have a SIG 320 with a real thumb safety.

I have one for my G19. Like it so much I plan on getting one for the G43. I agree it's expensive.

I do have issues focusing when lining up the front and rear site at far distances. The plate moving as I'm pulling the trigger distracts me.

Close self defense range where I'm focused on the front site is not an issue. Not a big deal as my carry guns are not meant for distance shooting.

Huh, interesting. I have not noticed it, using stock glock sites but the front is a glock steel sight which is a bigger dot. Will try blacking out the bucket one of these days.
What kind of sites are you running?

Just looked that up, red colored cocking indicator, so you can do the same with your thumb when re-holstering like the glock device? If so, do you use it that way, or just the visual aspect of it?

Yes it sounds just like the Glock device. No visual I just put my thumb on it.

Their site says: "Installation by Certified Armorer ONLY" Is this just lawyer talk, or is it difficult to install?

Like 10 seconds, maybe a couple min if you really take it slow, seriously.

Same as changing the slide cover plate.

                              Nice OP, thanks for video.

Funny how threads go off topic so fast.
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.
