Ammo purchase

Has anyone not been able to buy ammo since this new dumbass law came in to effect.
I stocked up on everything I thought I needed but low and behold I didnt get any steel 20ga and dove season is right around the corner.
I saw a sign a Wally world that said I need a gun registered to my address on my licence that matches the caliber I need to buy.
I haven't bought a 20 ga. In 10 years
Will I be able to buy ammo?

No I haven't moved since my last gun purchase
That means I am good to go for any caliber or ga
I dont even know if any of my shotguns were bought after the state started tracking long guns

If you have purchased a gun since 2014, and your residence address has not changed, you should be good to go for 1$ instant BG check. Caliber does not matter: You do not have to own a gun in the caliber of the ammo you want to buy.

I bought some ammo at Walmart here in Sonora a few weeks ago: If your DL is not a Real ID, you may need to provide an official copy of your birth certificate, or a US Passport.

If your DL has a PO Box (mine does) you will need to provide proof of your residence address. I used my vehicle registration which has both addresses on it.

Having said all of this, you probably should ask the counterperson at Walmart to clarify any requirements.

Not for 10 days after you do a new dros for ammo if you have not drosed a firearm in last few years.. Why did you wait? Lots of posts on this. There has been non lead shotgun ammo here in ammo sales in last couple months. Where are you in high desert?

Local Walmart had a full Ammo case last night

The birth certificate or US passport requirement at Walmart, if you have a DL that does not say, "Federal Limits Apply" appears to be store policy.

I have purchased ammo at Big-5 and my LGS with my old license and a copy of my vehicle reg.
