1) you don't need God/religion to know right from wrong. the concept of "do unto others" did not originate with religion. people have been wanting to be treated equally and fairly since the beginning.

2) retaliation is a legit concern for some depending on what is being reported. red flag laws are bad no matter what

3) I don't blame violent video games, however the lack of physical interaction with peers is a problem in my opinion

1 - eh, knowing right/wrong isn't for religious people. if it was then atheists should be able to not follow laws then since "we don't know what is right/wrong"

2 - wobbler - this can turn out very bad. what is to stop your neighbor from reporting you when they see you carry out your range gear? claim that it looks like you are about to go on a shooting spree with that much guns and ammo. this would need very careful implementation.

3 - eh, back to blaming video games? imo all people have inherent violent tendencies, and video games is a great way to release it. the people that would turn from killing in video games to killing in real life will do it with anything. i mean someone tried to kill the president b/c he read "catcher in the rye" book.... crazies will be crazy with or without video games.

there are millions of current adults who grew up with video games and how many turn out to serial killers? less than 1%? so lets stop blaming video games as that is as much the cause of mass killers as the guns they are holding. unless you are also fine then with the idea that guns are also a cause of mass shootings. since i mean they can't shoot people without guns. so by having guns exist, it allowed the mass killer to shoot people. and with this logic, it means we need to ban all private ownership of guns.

4 - eh, you can get a ****ty father figure in life that teaches you nothing but drinking alcohol and beating women. i would say change this to having good role models in life. as sometimes that isn't your parents.

You also forget the shooter is looking for infamy. Drag him out and cane him till his *** splits open and repeat as necessary until he's broken and sad so he can be an example to others on what'll happen when you do stuff like this. No fame, just a long prison sentence with occasional canings as a reminder that you done F'd up.

7) Re-establish mental hospitals and commit all the nutjobs & addicts. Get the addicts clean and off the streets, keep the nutjobs in a safe environment where they're not a danger to themselves or others. Got a psycho in your neighborhood? Get a 5150 on him/her and sit them in the psych ward for a few weeks to see WTF is up.
