Im sooooo glad I didn't get a Prius for my commuter car. I was really close in getting one too. What Prius owners don't realize is the environmental impact it took to mine, refine, and manufacture the nickel used in the batteries. If I remember correctly it is mined in Canada, shipped to Europe for refining, then shipped to Asia for manufacture. How much oil/fuel do you think it took to move that nickel across three continents?Comment

My 1995 Honda Civic Hatchback gets better milage than either of those 2 cars and I paid $3000 for it 6 years ago. During that 6 years I have changed the oil 3 times and replaced the tires once. Other than that I have not spent $1 on the car. Those 2 guys got ripped off.Comment
