How much Ammo do you shoot a month?

I shoot about 400~500rds. Competition matches are FUN but not cheap. I'd shoot more if I can afford it. Having fun does relieve stress though.

Not shooting ANY right now. I have a good stock, multiple k per firearm, but I don't shoot what I can't/won't replace, and it's hard to replace right now. So, I don't shoot if I don't need to. Have a class coming in June though, so I will have to scrounge some up to replace what I'll be shooting then.

I've cut way back until ammo availability improves.

When active in the Monday Night Shooting League...

I shoot at least 400 rounds a month. Then practice uses up another 100 rounds a week (.22 LR and some 9 mm), so I am approaching 1k rounds combined/month.

IF I could afford more ammo - believe me, if I could I would buy every stores stock I could find + range fees were not so costly, I would shoot weekly. it is just too expensive of a habit.

when I shoot, which is only 1x a month, it is between 150-200 rounds of mixed 223, 40, 9mm

I shoot roughly 200 rounds a match and there's 1 full one and a smaller one that I try to go to each week. This doesnt include any practice sessions either. I'm averaging over 1000 rounds a month of 9mm...

              Reloading definitely pays for itself..

Mostly .22LR now but even that is slowing down. WalMart does not sell ammo in Contra Costa Co. and the Big 5s in this area have been out. When I take my grandson to the range we go through a brick easy. I'll be in Nevada next week and hope I find some there.. It's always a pleasure to get out of Kalifornia.

Since I try to keep my time at the range to no more than 40 minutes at a time, my goal is to shoot for accuracy and not throw a lot of lead at paper targets. So maybe I'll fire off about 100 .22 rounds, 40 5.7 rounds, and 10 .45 rounds. Times that by two or three visits and you get the general idea of how much I shoot a month.

I live in CoCo County too and tend to shop at the Am-Can Wal-Mart for ammo. But since last December I've found finding .45 ammo there an exercise in futility.

If you count .22, then 2-4 hundred. Probably around 200 in .223 and the rest misc.

                            200-300 rounds. Used to 500+.

Went from about 400 rounds a month to zero due to the price of ammo, scarcity of ammo, and the economy taking my money for other things.
