save it for the range buzzards that scavenge brass at the range

the outdoor ranges always have a few old men picking up brass for recycling

if you really are not going to get into reloading, leave it at the range and someone will pick it up. Where do you shoot ? I would not mind being that someone

I do like the idea of getting a medium flat box rate as mentioned above, to me the few bucks I would get doing that just never seemed worthwhile, but if you shoot a lot, you may have much more brass then me.

I will bring some home with me for myself and friends and most goes into buckets that are dumped into 55gal barrels. The club sells the brass to help cover running costs.
Whenever I go to a place that is not organized I pick up brass I can find. Any brass I do not load I give to friends that do use it.
I too shoot mostly at a private club, with several "clean-up" events yearly in addition to other projects. Brass/steel collection has been an issue for a long time, but we are getting much better and will soon be installing collection buckets. I have found an incredible supply for any caliber I load, and what I don't use goes for scrap; last year my son made enough to buy a nice gun with the proceeds.
I'm sure that lots of the leftover stuff I see also is from the various no/low-light events/practice sessions, so many members may not find it all in the darkness, especially with 24-7 access.

          Range buzzards?....That's a new one!
"few old men picking up brass".....I'm not quite that old (yet), but I am amused by what I refer to as "The AR Crowd", mostly milenial types that never pick up anything. Not complaining, just an observation. Those guys (and a few hot young ladies) have certainly helped pay for my shooting endeavors.
Will be interesting see if increasing restrictions on ammo has any effect.

I simply leave once-fired factory brass (back in their orig boxes) on the shooting bench of my gun club when I'm ready to go home---the members who reload (many) take the brass and reload it---problem solved...

Give it to friends who reload, and if they're good people, you'll occasionally get a box of loaded ammo back in return 😁

I used to trade 9mm brass for reloaded ammo with a friend of mine. I don't remember what the ratio was for the trade.

Used to be groups of Hmong women that would snatch any unattended brass at the Oroville range, they weren’t shy either! Buckets of brass went to recycle yard I’m sure.
