Is it possible to get an NFA MAC-10

If I am willing to spend the money can I get an NFA MAC-10 in CA or is it impossible? I am a normal person, not a movie production company or anything else.

Hell no. If you have a sibling out of state set up a trust and you can store it there otherwise it's a hell no to have 1 here in California. You cant even have a normal AR here in this state let alone a fully automatic mac 10

That's what I thought... I just wanted to make sure because I see these guns on gunbroker and dream about them. Thanks for the confirmation!

You'll need to move to another state. My local shop says that forms are taking 10 months to get a tax stamp. The upside is that they are also a shooting range, so you can go and shoot your NFA goodies (so long as it stays there) while you're waiting on your stamp to come back.

You might be able to get a Class 3 FFL. There used to be quite a few Class 3 dealers in CA, but it's probably a lot harder to get one now. It would help if you had buddies in LE to justify it.

If you can't buy a REAL as is AR15, a new handgun designed after 2013, or ammo as a free citizen, why would you even ask such a question?
Just become a Class 3 FFL and then you can, maybe in this sh#t state.

Utah is great! I went there at the end of last year on a road trip and it's an amazing state. If I had to give up the ocean I'd move to Nevada, Utah, Colorado, or Alaska if I had no limitations. I love the high desert very much.

take out full auto all the time, never gets old, never too expensive.

Buy ammo like investing in the stock market. Dollar cost average and stack it cheap and deep.
