    Now what? (Shooting protection)

Long story short I had a "little" MTB accident and required surgery in my right shoulder, and obviously four to six months of recovery and therapy. While the recovery period probably shooting will be less than recommended. But after that, most likely will need a sort of "pad" or shooting protection for long guns. Any recommendations?

Always or stayfree probably . Just don’t use the panty liner . They probably aren’t thick enough for you.

HAHaAHA. Sorry op. Had to do it. Had rotator cuff surgery and was shooting the day after recovery was completed. It hurts and I’m sore after but I’m shooting a gun not knitting a sweater. So I sack up and deal...

You'll be fine. I had 3 tears and my subscapularis was almost gone for my surgery. It took a little over a year to come back to full strength and now I shoot like I always did. The real key is let it heal. dont push too hard or too fast.

Hahaha, I was expecting it, nevertheless.
I broke my scapula, and any force backwards will break it again, maybe

Shoot left handed for a while. Then get a PAST recoil shield. Get the normal one, not the magnum model (it's thicker and stiffer and a little more uncomfortable to wear).

            Stick with 5.56 for awhile.

Fold up a sweatshirt and put it under your arm.

any standard recoil pad type product should work.

just buy one mean for magnum rounds even if you aren't shooting magnum rounds. the extra padding will help.

all else, shoot with the other shoulder. unless the doc says any hard recoil on either shoulder is a no-no.
