Wanna Be a Good Gun Owner?

    Wanna keep your freedom ?
The LEAST you can do is the following :
1" JOIN THE NRA, CC RKBA, 2nd amendment foundation and GOA...".

2 JOIN YOUR NRA STATE ASSOCIATION. Nov 94 did not happen by accident . People like yourself made it happen... We need to do the same thing every election cycle...

3 JOIN THE NEAREST GUN CLUB . Be active -theres more to life than TV-shoot in events, go to club meetings, speak up about protecting our political rights...

4 TALK TO YOUR FRIENDS , tell them the importance of the next election and the need to vote and how to know who to vote for...

5 CONTACT REPS YOURSELF on every issue that effects you...

6 CONSTRUCT AN INFORMAL PHONE TREE to alert your friends, or just make sue everyone writes...

7 CUT YOURSELF FREE FROM THE BIASED MAINSTREAM MEDIA . Say goodbye to Dan Rather,Peter Jennings and all the other axe-grinders who do not respect you enough to tell you the facts-who will not give you a fair presentation on any issue which they have a personal bias (thats just about every issue)

Talk radio -specifically G.Gordon Liddy with his review and comment on the news . Rush Limbaugh 9-12 daily are where you hear things the main media will not report. Including the assault on the 2nd amendment. The regular media is a mouthpiece for liberalism. You'll be far better informed on the issues by listening to alternatives. On the print side cancel your subscription to any paper and news magazine but the WASHINGTON TIMES.
To get the news behind the news, the stuff the major media and the Democrats try to quash, you need to turn to alternative sources. So quit stalling and do it -you owe it to yourself -and to your family -and to your country!

I found this recently in a drawer with older papers. At the time I did everything it said in order to become a good gun owner.

Same goes for right wing media.
I'll join nra once its reformed and policies are changed where the top guys don't have too much power.
The NRA is like a dictatorship.

It really shows it's about making money. That's all the top guys care about. Making several million dollars a yr, getting allowances of 10's of thousands of dollar ad tax right offs. Corrupt.
But so many ignorant people still believe the nra is about keeping our 2a. In some way it is,but mostly is about making money.

People need to stop relying on the nra and need to rise up in a sense.

Finally a gun culture man weighs in with a helpful suggestion.
Yes Whatafinger should be a daily site for those who wanna be good owners and win the war of valid information.

As you have noticed this was written when gun owners were literate and involved ,so info on Discredited Dan Rather ( fired for fake news on W) or Peter Jennings (transferred to the lake of fire) is no longer relevant.
This was a time when shooters would discuss recent books written by gun culture people for gun culture people.

One cal gunner commented on the cost of Wayne La Pierre suit. Successful CEOs and other's are required to dress nicely and when their travel is all over the place its easier just to visit Nordstrom or whatever and buy a new outfit as opposed to packing it getting it pressed etc.

My own opinion is that the NRA should have a private jet to cut down on Arlines and all that hassle. Who knows Wayne could probably have up a few outfits so he wouldn't need to buy new suits.
When ever we shop at higher end stores, or any store we always mention the NRA or having suit pants a little larger for my free state CCW.
It is always a good idea to break the media stereotype that a few calgunners have strived to achieve. A stereotype they buy into because they watch, read and listen to very media this article is trying to discourage them from!

His suit allowance encompassed a 20 year period. As for your truck,Im not sure I would brag on how little it cost.

Pro gun organizations need to spend more resources on change public opinion, like commercials, hire celebrity, host events for youngster and women and etc. You just can't protect 2a with battle in court. Each anti gun law take years to struck down, if ever. The anti gun government probably will have a dozen more implemented while you still trying to revoke the last one.

In a single shopping trip he spent 39k on suits... He also spent close to 300k over 13 years on Zegna clothing from 2004 to 2017.
Next time do some research before talking down on my truck purchase.... It doesn't look good.

Once the NRA gets their crap together I'll sign up again but how things are right now I think I'll just use the money to buy more guns

                        .
Except he spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on suits, at one location. I think most here would rather he dress in a cheap suit, or hell, even jeans and a tshirt and use that money to fight for our rights instead. He absolutely does not need a private jet, but even so, he still manages to spend absurd amounts of money on travel. He spent $40k on a single flight. There is no excuse for his spending, no matter how you try to spin it. At this point, it's more worth while to join state organizations and organizations like GOA, FPC, and SAF. I think another thing to add to the list would be to try to take non-gun people shooting every so often. A lot of times, even if someone doesn't like guns, their mind is changed after actually getting to shoot one at the range. The more gun owners, the better!

People like to bash other people without knowing all the facts and in the end they end up looking like idiots. The NRA wont get a cent from me until they get their act together

And do not forget the CRPA.
Support Your Second Amendment Rights. The California Rifle & Pistol Association, founded in 1875, provides training in the safe, responsible, and enjoyable use of firearms; sanctions competitive shooting state championships; and fights for the constitutional right to keep and bear arms for those who choose to own a gun in California for sport, hunting, or self-defense.

Do got a link on those figures? Im sure you are a good NRA patriot and Im sorry for the snarky comment about what you paid for a new truck.

Psun I agree with you. although the people we would like to reach through ads mostly subscribe, view and read sources where the NRA is forbidden to advertise. Espescilly network TV ,democrat controlled news mags ,etc.
Thank you for the suggestion and its worth looking into more for friends who are with us. Maybe some flyers at mega churches with clergy approval of course ?
Here NRA did place an ad in WHATFINGER, its on the left side and has interesting commentary when you click on the logo.

In addition to Whatafinger news, the Epoch Times also seems to be a good fair progun site.
