Nystagmus Test.
1) Know what your eyes are doing under the strain of focusing on the front sight.
2) Check & Establish eye dominance.
3) Explain to the group, no not that group with the severe adult beverage restrictions, the difference
between 'Sight Alignment' and 'Sight Picture' in less than 40 words each.
4) Pick a distance, target size, gun, ammo, and change nothing.
5) Don't spend another penny on buying shiny objects until you can consecutively & easily hit 9:10 soda
can size targets at 7 yards within 3 minutes.
6) Put a small piece of tape over your rear sight. Shoot at a baseball size target at 13 or so yards. Check results.
7) If you have an 'Engineering Type Personality' and you think you are doing everything correctly then rest easy. You are not.
Have wife or GF film your shooting up close and personal. Focus on the eyes, trigger finger, grip stance, and...And where was the
end of barrel actually pointed when the pistol fired.
8) When shooting the gun, get very close to the camera. Otherwise you won't see or believe what you are actually doing.
