    Hickok45 Drops NRA Sponsorship

Hickok45 finally terminated his NRA sponsorship due to all that has been going on recently. I'm surprised he did. People got pretty upset when he stuck with them after the bump stock thing.

So, what's the deal with NRA lately? I haven't been keeping up with NRA news recently. Did they do something?

I thought they were partly responsible for CA's Mag rush.

Hickok45 has a pretty healthy following. He is the biggest social media type presence I have heard about dropping the NRA. He may trigger others...?
Life was simpler, and more honest, when revolvers and lever actions were the rule.

There's a bunch of threads about it in the politics forum. Basically, Wayne was caught spending massive amounts of money on clothing, private planes, paying $5k a month in rent for his attractive "intern", and vacations, sending the bill to AckMac, the NRA's advertising firm, which in turn would bill the NRA. The NRA has also been paying their law firm almost $100k a day for who knows what, and that law firm has donated to dem candidates such as Obama, Hillary, and others. Some members of the executive board of directors have some shady business dealings with the NRA as well. Oliver North and several others in the NRA tried to demand Wayne step down at the NRA meeting a couple months ago, but instead were either fired or forced out. The organization has basically become Wayne's personal piggy bank, not to mention all the gun control they've supported. There are currently at least 2 lawsuits involving the NRA over this stuff. Chris Cox was just suspended as well due to siding with North. I don't know if you watch any of the gun channels on youtube, but Military Arms Channel and IV8888 both have a few videos covering this stuff, as well as Jared from Guns and Gadgets.

He's actually pretty late on the train. MAC, Iraq Veteran, Hank strange, Yankee, and several others have been speaking out for awhile. Hickok is really going to look bad for the NRA though, being the largest gun channel on youtube.

I was under the impression a FUD was someone who only supported ownership of traditional guns like hunting rifles and not modern sporting and defensive arms, so how does that apply to him?

FUD fear, uncertainty, and doubt. Not sure how that applies to hick.

This looks like a Loose-Loose situation. Great for the libs, bad for 2A cause.

O.North. & Hickok45, I believe, they don't know me from sheet, are straight individuals. Their departure, for reason unknown to me, is not too good.

Yes they are fighting for gun rights and the swamp is trying to take out Wayne LaPiere and have him replaced with a do nothing to get along DC cocktail party type figurehead.

You will only hear of the NRAs un proven allegations and innuendo through a few cal gunners. Many who are envious of Wayne's success both political and financially. If you are of that mind pile on because it will not matter. NO ONE BUT FEW EASILY SWAYED BY DEMOCRAT MEDIA ARE PAYING ATTENTION.

Some on this forum are incapable of taking an objective look at evidence and don't want to admit that they've been supporting the enemy.

If you want to see what is really going on with the NRA, go do your own research, look at the evidence, and you can make your own decision. Plenty of sites have links to the court filings, tax documents, as well as social media posts from several NRA board members talking about what's happening. If you watch youtube gun channels, Military Arms Channel, IV8888, and Guns and Gadgets all have several videos covering the topic.

Yeah. The thought process of a lot of older gun owners on this forum is upsetting. I've seen people say 18 year olds shouldn't own guns nowadays, they wouldn't teach a democrat to shoot, basically just trashing the younger generation. It's concerning to me, being younger, because I know a lot of people my age are brought up only seeing the bad side of guns. That will be how the 2A will die. We should be trying to convert as many people into gun owners as possible, no matter their age or political affiliation. Youtube channels like Hickok45 and the others have done a great job at getting younger people into firearms, and for that alone they deserve some respect. Some people on here need to learn that age doesn't equal intelligence nor experience.

I've got some nice stuff but none of it costs as much as one of Waynes suits.

But I can see distancing oneself from the dumpster fire that is going on at NRA HQ.

I believe in the mission, wish the leadership was more deserving of my support.
                            It's not PTSD, it's nostalgia.
