I've only been to the Gun Range a few times (it's up in Sac and I live down in Silicon Valley), but I think it's one of the best gun stores/ranges in the Bay Area. Great staff, great range, and they have some good classes for beginners and intermediates alike. I might head up there on the 29th if only for the tacos.

One of the sales guys recently told me he would like to move out of state, except for the fact that, "I have the greatest boss in the world and I love this job."
How often do you hear that? Great store, great people.

Awesome range and staff! One of the most friendly I’ve come across. Everyone should go out and show their support!

I went to their 6th year anniversary last year and while it was packed, it was cool to meet new people who support the 2A. The staff is awesome. I go there frequently enough they know me on a first name basis. Ill be there this year as well.

Another cool thing about them is they allow rapid fire at their range.

Awesome place but if you get there at peak times your going to wait awhile for a lane at the range.

I might pop in to buy one or two of the rentals for sale. They maintain the rental guns pretty well.

And if you have a CCW they let you take down the barrier and draw from the holster.

I want to like this place, but the last time I shot there, I was with two other guys and they only had one space available. We said we would share it, take turns etc. then they charged us EACH for the line!?!? So we each got to shoot 1/3 of the time and all got charged full price. Kind of a bull**** move IMO.

Then there is the genius that refused to do an Internet transfer on a Beretta 92 because it was “capable of accepting a magazine with greater than 10 round capacity”. Even after I pointed out that he was selling the exact same gun in his display case, he doubled down on his stupid.

So I voted with my wallet and haven’t been back.

The shooter fee is to use the facilities, period. I understand where they're coming from though, I mean, could you imagine charging everybody 1/3 the price because you're splitting the lane 3 ways? What happens when a group of 5 or 7 or even 10 people comes in?

Ok, this is total BS. Which guy was it, the bald guy with the lumpy head and glasses? Every time I've been in there he's been talking BS as loud as possible, and been totally wrong about everything coming out of his mouth. I asked him a question about standard cap mags during freedom week and he gave me an answer that was 100% wrong, and betrayed his lack of understanding of how the legal system works. Oh and he was also rude and condescending while doing it. I wonder if upper management has changed, because I can't imagine the old owners allowing this sort of poor service to continue.

Irony: almost all the handguns under the counter (even 1911s) can accept greater than 10-round magazines
