    yes
The inconvenience of poor quality lingers long after the thrill of a good bargain.

I’d send a pic to glock and see what they say? Maybe they will pay shipping both ways to make it right?

I think you should return it and get a refund since it's clearly defective.

Are you stashing something really tiny and cool in there?

No need for a plug otherwise. I can't imagine why you are looking at this part of the gun in the first place.

Exacto knife or a hand turned drill bit should clean it right up.

Are you the first and only owner of this Glock?

Pretty much this ^. Appropriate sized drill bit BY HAND. Plug for the Glock is probably the single most useless million dollar add on ever. Guy who came up with it is laughing all the way to the bank, since it realistically does nothing more than fill a hole.

Just pop in the plug, it will knock that poop right out.

But, don't get the plug. It's silly. That well is open for a functional reason. Clearly Glock doesn't want you messing around down there, Uncle Leo.

Don't drill it out by hand. That's for wussies. Use a drill like a man. Milwaukee, Makita will do in a pinch. Use at least a 1/2" drill bit. Bigger if you got it. Drill until you feel the bit punch thru to the other side. Once you feel it, go just a smidgen more. That's when you know you did it right.

Just kidding. I wouldn't bother with it personally. But, did you see the uneven pattern on the grip? Looks totally off.

So you didn't get a chance to look at it before purchase? Return it, clearly defective!

I initially had a really good butt plug joke on deck but it's way beyond an R rating, so it's back on the bench. For now.[emoji850]
So a butt plug on a Glock would keep bloody tissue and bone fragments from filling up the space when the handgun becomes a cudgel.
There. That's the answer to why.
I have no idea how to fix this. Time to write a stern accusatory letter to Glock.
