Take a look at Linden Gun Range. It's about 15 miles east of Stockton.

You won’t find a monitored range that will allow what they consider to be rapid fire. Firing double taps or less than a second between shots, is considered rapid fire at supervised ranges here. You will have to go out to blm area where you can shoot with no supervision

        Range Rules.
        8. Our rate of fire is 2 seconds between each round.
        And..
CCW IS NOT PERMITTED ON SITE.
Please inform our staff if you are carrying upon arrival. Our staff will have you safely disarm on the firing line while in a safe zone. Please do not re-holster on site, i.e. in our parking lots.

I go out to Angels Camp now. Worth the 2 hour drive for unsupervised, quiet, open range shooting. Setup up targets, do your drills, pack up, and have pizza and beer afterwards.

Are you speaking of BLM land near Angels Camp, or the Angels Gun Club?

If the latter, the club is a private range, and you must be a paid member to shoot there. I am a member and shoot there regularly.

Sorry, I did not see the note in the OP about 'rapid' fire. Still, a good range is a good range, even if the rules are somewhat restrictive.

Sac Valley is tough to beat OP, but it doesn't have what you're looking for.

Theres nowhere within 50 miles of Lodi/Stockton that will let you do what you want without a huge amount of hassling. Sac Valley is really the only place for everything you want (in my opinion), but it's a huge pain to use any of the ranges that aren't range 4, and to a lesser extent range 3.

Oroville Clay Pits. It's open free public use, but over your mileage.

                      I’ll drive...

Guess I took for granted what I had growing up. No more walking out the back to shoot

Birds landing is good for clays off 12.

Linden offers annual memberships and as a member you can rent practice bays that allow rapid fire (i.e. for USPSA practice, and such). But you need to have classification in related shooting sports, etc. and get approved for it. You can follow up with them directly for specifics.

Ended up signing up at Sacramento gun club. Had an issue immediately when I was told I couldn’t use my 30 round mags. Asked for my money back and another RSO came in and apologized that not all the employees kept up with freedom week.

Not what I was hoping for to shoot rifles but pretty cool place. You can get signed off for “rapid fire” and holster draws if you have your ccw.

Indoor shooting sure is a lot louder

                              Too bad.
