    25 days delayed

Im currently 25 days delayed on shotgun from big 5 (I know) and I actually purchased a hand gun a week later from small gun shop after the shotgun and pick that up in 10 days no problem! These are my first gun purchases. I wont be going back to big 5 because I have read alot of negative comments. My question is what happens if it goes "undetermined"? Will they say why or send a letter? Also has anyone ever got a "Accepted" like on the 28th day? I think ima get a a refund and go back to the small local shop.

I would proactively call the DOJ myself with reference to the DROS#, to find out the specific reason causing the delay.

They will extend the "last pickup date" to account for a legitimate "delayed" application....assuming you eventually get cleared.

It happens. You're not a felon, are you?

I also double checked the court records and dmv im good. I went threw hella backround checks to get my radiology license and to get a job at the hospital.

Yea, but those hella background checks are only hella good as of that date. What have you been up to since? That handgun purchase may have slipped through backgrounds. The system isn't perfect.

Reference the California DOJ website for contact info. Only robots answer after hours, but the humanoids will be there during standard PST business hours.

So, what type of handgun did you purchase?

Ive tried to call and its all automated! Well last backround check was a year and a half ago for work. I havent got into any trouble. I was looking at my shotgun dros and hand gun dros and noticed the shot gun dros suffix doesnt have that iam "II" Iam named after my dad. Maybe thats a reason for the delay. I think its its something the ffl messed up on. When he pulled the shotgun out from the back it was the last one and the box was all jacked up. Maybe somebody returned it.

I bought a 22lr/22 magnum combo rough rider revolver. First gun ever and im 32 yrs old haha. I just never had friends or family introduce me. I shot a glock 17 a few weeks ago .

Yea, that's the right number. And, yep! That's it. You're two different people.

Ahhh....the BigCinco special....never fired, and only dropped once.

Ya know....July 01 brings background checks for ammo purchases. Given your history with background checks and all....just sayin.

Didn't the big 5 clerk give you application to proof read far accuracy? I have always had that occur. 35 buck loss of dros fee and maybe restocking for who's fault? Post in FFL where you might get a professional response.

Just a copy of the dros. I have no Idea if he put all the other shotgun info correctly. He didnt catch the suffix part.and he told me that could be a reason

Probably the missing suffix. I doubt Big 5 releases on Undetermined status, which you'll reach after 30 days, and is where you'll most likely end up at this point.
