He’s trying to generate clicks. Every time someone clicks on that uninformative “article,” it’s advertising money in his pocket. He wants someone like the OP to start a “read this and tell me what you think about it” thread on an internet forum. Cha-Ching!

Definitely agree that he's trolling. The writer seems like he's trying to help answer the question most beginners will ask "what's the best gun?".
It's all subjective.
A good writer would follow this up with a list of "underrated guns" for comparison. Reality is, none of those would be the answer either.

Exactly right, IMHO.

Let's create some outrage for clicks. Glock 19? Yes. 1911's generally as one of the named over-rated guns my article headline promises? Yes. And now . . . nothing comes to mind, so I'll move to ammo. 10mm? Yes!! 44Mag? Yes! Better get another gun in here, so I'll go with DE even though I am writing for usacarry.com.

Just an effort to drive website traffic; and one that serves to diminish the overall brand, IMHO.

(I don't own a G19, a 1911, a 10mm, a 44mag, a Sig320, or a DE. Though I admit I want a DW 1911 eventually).

It's easy to tell when a writer has no idea what he's talking about.

I can defend the 1911, but I freaking love my Desert Eagle. It's accurate and it doesn't jam.
It does drain the wallet dry, but that's what fun guns do. Even with expensive ammo, mine has a few thousand 50AEs through it, and it now lives permanently in the range bag. It's dirty as hell too, rarely cleaned, and still doesn't jam.

Sorry, had to defend the deagle a little bit.
