    Magpul glock mags

What do you guys think of these? They were basically $13 at Turners, so I got a couple. Had no issues at the range, but what are these marks on them and is this normal?

They don't have the best finish but they work well in my experience.

Not certain those makes are normal, I would think they are. They were created when they machined off the manufacturing "flash" (extruded material), this "extra" material was created when these mags were manufactured with a poor quality injection mold.
These "machine marks" should not impact the function of these mags any way.

Like most Magpul products (including these Glock mags) , they are good to go.

I remembered smaller markings like this guy has, but they seemed to expand after a range session. No malfunction though

Put a sheet of 400 grit sand paper on the counter. Wax on, wax off. They will look much better after a few runs.

Not pretty but they work, I was using one in a Glock 17 this morning and have about six of them. I also use them in my Ruger PCC, never an issue.

Yeah those are just marks from where they are pulled off the sprew. My only complain about the mags is the rounds don't slide in as easy as they do on the metal feed lips of Glock mags.

You guys notice it’s hard to put 10 rounds in them and slap them into your Glock 17 when the slide is down? Maybe mine need to be broken in a bit but my stock mags seem to go into my Glock just fine when the slide is down.

it probably has to do with the flex in plastic that magpul knows can happen. so they built their 10 rounds with zero extra space to force fit that 11th round in.

but i believe glock uses a sleeve system in their 10 rounders. so the body/spring is still for the standard capacity, but the sleeve limits the loading to 10 rounds. hence a bit for space to load on a closed slide.

this is why the old saying of downloading by 1-2 rounds was common. to allow the extra room needed for closed bolt reloads.

i just try to load only on open slide/bolt locked back. or i just download by 1 if i know i will be making "tactical" reloads.

Not a huge fan of them. Using their 12 round magazine in my Glock 26, if I were to load all 12, plus one in the chamber for carry my pistol will jam every time after the chambered round is fired. I can only do 11 plus 1 and be confident the gun will function properly. I switched to a factory Glock magazine that's 12 plus 1 and it will cycle reliably every time. I only use the Magpul magazines for range use now. Also, since they don't have metal feed lips, everytime they're used the feed lips wear down incrementally because the casing shaves off a small piece of the plastic when loaded and unloaded.
