Nice gesture sure (hiding behind humanitarian reasons or whatever), but really where are we getting the money?! I'm already paying more for everyone who is uninsured already, my kid's broken arm cost over $6K, someone I know without insurance? $250.

I don't think any of these elected officials do much work while they are in office. San Francisco has a massive homeless problem, same here in Los Angeles, but the mayors don't do anything about it. Anytime there is a shooting they take that opportunity to get a headline, but other than that, they are out pandering to a bunch of rich people at events and don't really do much else.

Its not some immigrants fault your kids broken arm cost $6k. Its the fact that our entire health care industry is based on a 'for profit' model and insurance companies add no value but represent more than half the cost.
