    Range time

Went to my gun club today. Everyone else was at the shore for the weekend. I had the whole complex to myself and two other members all morning long.

    Happy Memorial weekend!

The range wife and I went to today, Sunnyvale, has a pretty good crowd today. It was pretty cold and very windy in the morning however, making trap shooting quite a challenge. Thankfully, it calmed down around noon time.

I'm planning on going shooting tomorrow if the rain holds off and I can get to the ranch. It's unbelievable that it's Memorial Day weekend and still raining in Bakersfield.

It was 76F when I arrived and 88F when I left. We hit 94 by the end of the day. Early for this sort of weather.

Nice weather! Right now it is a pleasant 80F, nice breeze, some rain last night that cooled everything off.

Every place is a series of trade-offs. Only Camelot has perfect weather.

"It's true, it's true, the crown has made it clear
The climate must be perfect all the year

A law was made a distant moon ago here
July and August cannot be too hot
And there's a legal limit to the snow here in Camelot

The winter is forbidden till December
And exits March the second on the dot
By order, summer lingers through September in Camelot."

And up north, the wind just wont stop.....
Hard to sight in with 20 mph wind with gusts to 30.

Was at club range in Angels Camp (Calaveras County) on Tuesday morning--windy and cold. Went again on Friday morning--warmer and sunny, light wind.

                    Home today (Columbia)--raining and cold.

Weirdest May weather I have seen in NorCal.

Another cold and crappy rainy winter day here in San Diego. Snow is predicted today on Mt. Laguna. The desert has 60 mpg winds.

I'm guessing the indoor ranges are full.

I drove back to the range this afternoon to test my Hi Power .22 kit on a FEG frame. One group of shooters at a pistol pit, that was it. A bit hot at 92F but a beautiful ride in my open jeep on a two lane country road through forest and several small towns. I've got to say I like it here.

It was thunderstormin , muddy , pitch dark and about 50 last night but still just about the best thing you can do with your pants on at 2am.
