Bought my first AR! But.... Did I overpay?

I went to a local shop and I bought a Springfield Saint AR-15 for $1100.

I initially was going to go for something cheaper since it was my first AR (S&W M&P Sport for $650), but I got tempted and pushed to go for this one (not to say I don't like the rifle).

I was just curious to see if I overpaid or I was given a fair price? As I've seen similar prices online to what I paid, and then I see almost half of what I paid elsewhere....

Hell no you did not overpay, you paid what you wanted and got what you wanted when you wanted it. Could you have gotten something cheaper, maybe, but that isn't really the question.

ENjoy your rifle, shoot it often and don't worry about it. In 10 years you will wish you could find it at that price anywhere.

I custom built my AR's, I overpaid for sure but I am extremely happy with the guns that I own and they are worth every penny to me. Your rifle is worth whatever it takes to make you happy, In fact I just bought a Olight to throw on the rail just because, I'm not even sure I'll ever sue it but it was a smoking 24 hour flash sale and I couldn't turn it down. Shoot it and let it make you happy, besides you're just going to swap out every part slowly until you have enough extra parts to build a whole new rifle and start the process over, I've been there haha.

Once I find the gun I want at a price I'm willing to pay I QUIT SHOPPING, because I will inevitably see it for sale for less and be bugged by it.

Quit shopping and go shoot your new gun!

Which locations? And do they still have them? How long they've been on display for?
