Can I shoot on BLM land with a minor?

I'm 18 and I have friends that are 17 that are into shooting. Can we legally go out to BLM land to shoot without their parents?

Im pretty sure parents and legal guardians, I could be wrong though. Hopefully another here will chime in. But the best idea, is just to contact BLM and ask them. Believe it or not, they are pretty laid back about this stuff and you let them know you arent there to tear up the land.

Check with BLM to see where you plan on shooting is legal to do so.

If it's just long guns, your friends will need written permission from their parent/legal guardian to go shooting/possess live ammo.
If handguns are involved, it's a no go.
