Hello Cal Guns perusers!
I just got off the phone with my local police station and I'm shocked at their lack of gun knowledge. I basically have a paperweight because I messed up my lower (we all know how that goes) and I need to properly dispose of it.
The officer I spoke with told me to throw it in the trash...

I let him know that I was disposing of a firearm and he asked if it was serialized. I said no, since this was milled from an 80% lower. He goes on to ask whether or not it was a firearm. I explained that this is what is used to build an AR and then he asked for my address. This made me feel uneasy.
Thoughts?
MODS move this where it needs to go.
