    Kilroy's, West Sacramento - Closing

Not sure if this is a dupe.

I was doing a PPT at Kilroy's this morning and found out that they are closing. I have bought a few guns from them in the past. They staffs are very nice and friendly..Sad to see them close. They have some closing sale going on now.

Last day to DROS is May 17.

That’s too bad. I sold my USP Compact there last year and really enjoyed the warmth of the staff. Definitely one of the more welcoming FFLs.

Why are they closing their doors?

I sadly heard the news, never been there but the other day did a PPT there. FYI they are having a closeout sale and a lot of stuff is on sale. Talking with the staff they said they are closing due to the laws, politics, and people just doing PPTs and not buying anything else. It sucks because normally I try to pick up a few things when I do a pick up from a dros or at least a box of ammo or two.

Probably didn't help that they were charging $75 for "Transfers" for guns won in fund raising dinners. That'll leave a bad taste in people's wallets.

Sad to hear this. I have used them for a couple ppts and was planning to order a mini 30 here in the next couple weeks from them. It is a very nice place to go and staff has always been great to me. Other than the other reasons listed I’m betting location and lack of advertising wasn’t helping them. I have sent a few guys there to buy guns. I have met calgunners there for transfers too. There’s never been more than two people other than us in the store the times I have been there. Every time I send someone there they are surprised the shop is even there as they had never heard of them. I am really sad to hear they are closing.

When a brick-and-mortar gun shop like that closes it's never a good thing. the only one I would like to see clothes would be canyon Sports. Then may be reopened under New Management with much better customer service and aggressive pricing.
