Running out of time? SHTF?

Anyone else get the feeling that we are standing in the 'eye' of the economic storm of the century? Increases in violence, shootings, crime, people at the brink of loosing it? Precursors to SHTF maybe? I would like to hear from you guys what your thoughts are on some tale tell signs to look out for.
