They used Cottonwood for that furniture!?!? I'm calling BS. Cottonwood is way too soft and wouldn't have a grain pattern like that.

It does not shoot a standard 45-70 cartridge.
If you note that he said it shoots their own rebated rim 45-70 AUTO cartridge.
Might as well just shoot a 458 Socom.
Either will do all that you need out of a shoulder fired rifle for shortrange hunting.
Neither will match a 458 Win Mag or the bigger magnums.

I love how the gun world loves to confuse folks....

45 cal/ 70 grains black powder / 405 GR bullet was the government load...

The original 45-70 case is just over 2.14" long...

Any info on this new round?
          Cartridge specs?
What bolt and carrier does it use?

          you know - details
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT
          (thanks to Jeff Cooper)

            I did some searching.
Can't find any details published with 10 minutes spent searching.
It looks like all the buzz was at the end of 2017.
By the fact there's nothing new available on it, it didn't get far.

Considering this company likes to sell $5000 rifles, you probably are stuck getting everything from them and this will never be a SAAMI cartridge.

I'm going to guess they are using 284 basic brass to be able to run a 308 bolt.
Their photo with it next to a 308 shows me they are probably staying within the typical LR308 dimensions and using WSM/RSAUM magazines as those will work with 284 as well.

              Will not

Will not take my Garrett cartridges 540gr.

I'll stay with my Marlin 45-70SBL.
