Buying a AR Lower from Marketplace Forum

If I want to buy a Complete AR Lower from another member, does the Complete AR Lower need to be CA - Compliant?

Your best bet is to call the FFL you plan on using and ask them. As has already been mentioned, it does not need to be neutered in any way but some uninformed or anally-paranoid-retentive FFLs have some wild requirements.

Is it really even worth it? Most of time the transfer fees end up costing more than if you just bought a lower from the ffl new.

Yeah but we are in the days of 49 dollars for an Anderson plus dros. Kinda hard to beat that. Ppt is dros plus 10 I saw one here the other day that was for sale and I know the owner was probably loosing money but it would have been close.

It's a complete lower. I know what a PPT costs. $35 and thats it.

A purchase will be DROS plus tax. So without knowing what the OP is buying and how much he is paying, how do you know DROSing an Anderson lower is cheaper?

The topic isn't even about price anyway.

Ppt is no tax. Pay the seller his $ and 35 bucks dros to ffl. Plus sign safe cert. or buy a lock or bring one with receipt dated not more than 30 days prior. This is so simple follow even our resident ac's can follow this.
