Hey guys,
First time poster.
So about 15 days ago I applied for my first handgun purchase. Two days before my 10 day waiting period was up I got a phone call saying that my application was denied. So here’s the deal, believe me or not. I have no reason to lie on this forum. I’ve never committed a crime of any kind, I’ve never been 5150’d, I’ve never had a restraining order, I was born in this country, etc etc etc.
I have a valid drivers license with current address as well.
I’ve read up and down the forum since hearing about my denial and haven’t found something that fits my case, which is why I’m posting.
I had one unpaid parking ticket that overlapped with my 10 day waiting period. And I mentioned that to FFL and they said it would’ve came back as “DMV hold” or something to that affect.
I’ve yet to receive my letter from the DOJ (it’s been almost a week, so I’m sure it’s coming soon.)
Man, I thought waiting 10 days for your first firearm was hard. Waiting to get this resolved has taken the cake.
Pretty ****ty feeling knowing that you’re an upstanding citizen that’s been denied their 2A right.
Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone!
