Need help/ advice customizing featureless grip

I want to turn the exile hammerhead into something more ergonomic. That thing is like holding on to a brick.

I have a fin currently on my AR and had the hammerhead laying around. Just wanted a project.

My plan is to fill the holes with epoxy and cut down the bottom and maybe round the bottom off. Ill try and add epoxy finger grips. I know I cant mess with the top due to compliance.

Anyone have experience with plassic and or epoxy. Any ideas thought would be helpful.

I looked at them. They just don't seem ergonomic. I want something with finger grooves and a little more rounded. Like the above pic. Thanks for the reply though.
