Fix it stick torque set for scope mount/rings, Pin punch just in case and that's about it for tools.

I carry a bunch of stuff but almost never need it. Others borrow stuff almost e very trip.

Decent standard and Phillip's screwdriver in a few sizes, metric and sae Allen sets, a piece of cleaning rod for squibs. Spare aa, aaa, and crv batteries. Tampons for plugging holes. First aid kit. Spare eyes. Tons of foam earplugs. Pen, sharpie, garget dots. Tape. Staples.

I keep a small Plano box in my range bag for a few basics. Small screwdrivers, allen/torx wrenches, small needle nose, bore light, dental picks & mirror - that’s about it. Just enough to make adjustments or keep things tightened. Any more than this and it can wait until I get home.

If I’m going for a full day or more, such as to BLM land, I’ll usually pack a bigger tool bag. As for multi tools, I have a few but rarely do they have everything I need.

Range day. Torx too to fix any scope loose issue. A leather man multi.
            Grease and oil maybe.

            Chamber flags. About it.

Now blm. That’s gonna be different. Extended shooting. Cleaning stuff. Etc.

old wives tale. a tampon holds almost no blood. it is designed to catch fluids along with blood that is not a part of the circulatory system. its waste. run around getting one while your friend is bleeding out and you will wish you just took your shirt off and compressed the wound.

It's easier just to bring a spare gun in case one has issues. Fix at home. Function check before going to the range. working on a gun at the range because you just drove an hour and paid a fee will lead to frustration and shortcuts. not ideal and you are there to have fun.

If I know I need to work on a gun I have a decent sized toolbox that mirrors my work bench i take and any proprietary tools i need for that particular gun.

My range is built into a hill right behind my shop.
So I dont bring anything but my hearing protection when I step out the door and engage steel silhouettes....

16 inch HF Special Chinese steel pipe wrench, in orange, so I won't lose it.
Whatever I can't twist-off I'll just hammer it and blame someone else if it doesn't work afterwards.

I have a Wheeler driver set and a Wheeler punch set I snagged at some point when they were on-sale. I have used them more than expected at the range.

I carry a rubber mallet - and that has been loaned out and used by me, too, for both bolt action and semi-auto stuck case situations.

I also keep some of the little allen wrenches that come with stuff, which is nice when I need a metric one and the Wheeler set is inches.

And any specialized sight adjusting tools, if you happen to have a firearm needing such a thing, like AK or SKS, as I do. Also specialized batteries, in my case CR 2032, which is used in half a dozen or so optics I own.

I think that is it, outside of what is put there for that specific range trip.

Registration is the first step towards confiscation.

                              I identify as Non-Bidenary
