    Hello & help

    I'm a newbie here & need some help finding the value of a rifle my Father gave to me.It's a Winchester model 1886 45-90.Thank you in advance. Casey

          That doesn't look like the original stock so figure a few hundred, up to maybe $700 for the Winny... very beautiful rifle by the way.

          The model 12 is worth about $200.

          While you're at it, how about pics of the wife?

            Going by the stocks and patina of these ,I'd say $100 for both and I'll take it.

                      On the contrary... the fact is, those rifles simply aren't going to fund your retirement. Both have issues with non-original stocks. Even in mint condition, never been fired, the model 12 would only bring about $800 to $1000 to a collector, and the Winchester might scape $2,000 (max)... both weapons are worn out and not original, which is how value is placed.

                          I play around on a couple of forums that play the wife card etc... I was just looking for some info.I'm not a stuffed shirt.Was refered to this site from a friend.Thanx again.
