I got the PMAG 40....then about 15 min before 5 I bought the D60....HAHAHA

I will agree drum mags are extremely unwieldy. Should have gotten a Beta-C; go big or go home.

I had a beta c long ago. It worked well, but was 40% heavier than a 60 drum and due to the design, looked like if you banged it going prone, it would shear the snail parts off the feed tower.

I sold it.

I grabbed two of the D-60's from PA for $99.95 each. On my cheap kitchen scale, a D-60 empty weighs just under 1.5lbs - loaded is right at 3lbs. In the only rifle I currently have assembled, total weight is 10.25lbs.

Even with the hefty weight, I agree with the assessment by the guys in the video Citizen One posted. In a defensive/offensive situation, having 60 rounds on tap during a initial engagement then reloading if needed with much more easily carried 20-30 round conventional stick mags would be a plus.
