Is it legal to send a judge a gift?

I don't know but man, what a well written order.

My 15 year old was asking how this all came about and we pulled up the document and read it in its entirety.

I feel like buying the guy a beer, or a coffee or dinner or something.

Got me wondering, is it legal to send him something?

A thank you letter for protecting the constitution and also reminding him the work is not done with the attacks on the 2A here in CA. I say that’s enough

Might cause ethics issues if you send anything of monetary value to the Judge, and you just know the Fake News Media will be all over "OMG Judge who allowed these evil high capacity killing boxes into the state is gifted thousands by evil gunowners in California!"

Best to write thank you letters or e-mails to his official court address if you wish to show your gratitude, but nothing of any monetary value to avoid the ethics issues.
