Hello all, wanting to convert this to 9mm. Should I change both the barrel and slide, leaving just the trigger portion of the .40 model? Would this basically be just like buying the sp2022 in 9mm or are there differences in the lower guns assembly? Wanting to do this as .40 only comes in 12 round mags at the most. Thanks in advance.

I've got the exact same 2022 setup. You'll need to swap out the barrel and the recoil spring, but not the slide. Aside from needing new mags (obviously), you won't need to change anything on the frame or trigger group. It's a very simple swap.

Although, if you don't already have the conversion barrel, you may want to consider this:
Conversion Barrel= $200
4 factory mags = $160
Recoil spring + guide rod = $30
Total conversion cost = $ 390
That's just about the price of a whole new 2022. I didn't go that route only because I got a barrel for next to nothing in a trade. If you have to buy everything from scratch, however, might as well just get a whole new gun.
