Retail (Brick and Mortar) in OC area selling Standard Mags

As I have no faith in the long term stability of gun laws both in California and in the country as a whole,

I would prefer to buy my standard mags locally (rather than travel out of state or buy on-line) for cash to avoid creating a paper trail with credit.

A lot of people around her bragging that they never really followed California law and some are going so far as to brag

that they continued to illegally import the then banned standard capacity mags, that seems a little unwise at best.

Who has actually bought standard capacity mags in the OC/SD/LA area and/or

which OC/SD/LA/IE LGS'S are or will be selling standard capacity pistols and AR mags?


I also like to support local gun businesses, as long as they don't try to gouge us.

While I am concerned that the window may eventually/suddenly close, a trip to Reno or Vegas would greatly increase the cost of per mag.


If we do a trip to either place, I will definitely explore my options...

In the marketplace mags are there and at the moment, a good option.

Other than the infatuation with drum/snail magazines I think the prices are reasonable considering the time and price of gas,

not to mention it being a gorgeous day outside, fit for numerous activities.

I’d get what I can like yesterday by hook or by crook.


I’m stuck with my boys today however.

Beach time.

Mags are already stacked almost as deep as my incandescent light bulbs.

Definitely beach weather!


We will enjoy the California coast climate today with my daughter and begin my mag acquisition in earnest tomorrow...



Our garage is also filled with incandescent bulbs, so I have that well covered as well ...

Op, it has been reported that riflegear is a hard no this weekend.

Dont know of hard info on other lgs. Someone reported that a norcal lgs was selling, but i havent seen anything re our AO.

Do a group buy, divide the cost of fuel divided by number of mags purchased and share the cost.

Anyone find an LGS in the SD, preferably the north county area, selling maximum capacity mags for 9mm (33 rd) and/or .45 Glocks?


Also Standard capacity (30 rd) AR mag's and maybe a drum or two ...
