Looks like a roll pin holding the base plate on. Drill that little rollpin out then see if the base plate can be removed. Possible it still has epoxy holding it though.

If the mag ruling holds, any person that damages their mags based on a previously unconstitutional law, should join in a class action lawsuit against the State of California for forcing irreparable damage to your property.

Some stores glued them shut. Take a heat gun and quickly glide it over. Quickly work it loose. Wear gloves when handling it and should work.

Thats a roll pin. A couple of my mags had them.

Just drill it out, and the base plate should come off.
