Looks like a roll pin holding the base plate on. Drill that little rollpin out then see if the base plate can be removed. Possible it still has epoxy holding it though. -

Some stores glued them shut. Take a heat gun and quickly glide it over. Quickly work it loose. Wear gloves when handling it and should work.Comment

Thats a roll pin. A couple of my mags had them.
