Fixed magazine semi-auto centerfire non-AW rifles are still limited to 10 round mags.

          Therefore...

If your semi-auto firearm utilizes a device that makes it have a "fixed magazine", then it is still CA illegal to increase the fixed magazine's capacity to greater than 10 rounds because doing so will make the firearm an illegal assault weapon.

11+ round magazines can legally be used in RAWs, featureless semi-auto centerfire rifles, rimfire rifles, manually operated rifles, shotguns, manually operated pistols, and featureless semi-auto pistols.

Practice reloading with them. Load 1 round, fire, drop the empty and load a fresh mag under time constraints.

Extra points for stylishly flicking them out of your gun, but negative points for flinging it out past the firing line

                Keep them for the range.

I don't have a use for the longer mags so I leave them for you guys to buy.

The only magazines I'm interested in are the standard capacity for which my handguns like my G19 were designed to carry. Having the 10 when I know it was designed to hold 15 always pissed me off!

I think this is poorly worded.
An 11+ round magazine certainly DOES create an illegal assault weapon out of a fixed magazine semi-auto centerfire rifle where a 10 round mag does not.

A better wording would be "Which means 11+ round magazines can still not be utilized in fixed magazine semi-auto centerfire rifles if you are trying to avoid making an illegal assault weapon".

"Bullet button" style magazine release/locks have been not been CA legal compliance devices since 01-01-2017.

Under CA regulations, it is not legal to remove a "bullet button" style magazine release from a RAW, unless it is for repair/replacement or as part of the deregistration process.

If a semi-auto centerfire rifle or semi-auto pistol or semi-auto shotgun has a "bullet button" style magazine release and has restricted features and is not a RAW, then it is an illegal assault weapon.

With this victory for now, what firearms can you use these standard capacity magazines? Featureless and Handguns only?
