The rifle in the photo looks to be a Smith&Wesson M&P 15-22. It’s an all-polymer .22LR clone of the AR-15. This one is the older model with the plastic quad rails. Pretty much the whole thing; upper, lower, integrated buffer tube, handguard, etc. is plastic.
