    hahah, thats funny!

Wal Mart is NOT getting out of the firearms ammo business. My best friend in Ohio just picked up his Glock 17 and FN FS2000 at his local WalMart. Kind of brings the whole how ****ed up we are here in california into perspcetive doesnt it?

Wal mart doesnt sell ammo within Sacto city limits because of county ordinances. There is also ammo bans in certain counties they have to abide by.

Wal mart had its california gun sales dept suspended there for the longest time because of incompetence in filling out the forms. It was a lack of training issue.

      What about preemption?

From the proposition H fight I was under the impression that cities cant have their own gun laws?

      Is ammo different?

      Thanks,

WalMart sometimes faces the business decision of not selling ammo in certain areas in exchange for being allowed to open stores and sell everything else or not being allowed to open stores. It's a fairly easy bottom line decision.

Dirtyj, Yolo county stores do not have the same policy as the Sac city stores. Woodland store sells ammo.

I was in a WalMart in Wyoming a couple of days ago. I had to get a presciption filled while traveling. I also bought 600 rounds of 9mm, some 357 & 38 & 40 also. Anyway, I brought up the Wyoming guns laws with the pharmacist, as she commented positively on the ammo in my cart. I asked her about Wyoming CCW's, and she reached down, grabbed her purse, pulled out her wallet, and showed me her CCW. She said open carry couldn't be done in banks, and that the bank inside that WalMart made open carry in that WalMart iffy. She was a cool lady.
