Proof of Residency Question

Good evening,

I am supposed to meet up with another calgunner for a PPT but upon getting my documentation ready I realized that I don't have an actual car registration for a handgun. I recently purchased a new truck and still only have the temporary DMV registration on the front windshield that the dealer provides while your registration is in the mail. Is this sufficient for a 2nd proof of residency behind my CA DL? I'm a college student still fortunate enough to be living at home so I don't have a rent or utility document with my name on it, what are some other options I could use?

Your parents are landlord you are tenant. Back date it at least 90 days.

However, YMMV depending on the FFL you're going to. They might not accept the above document even if legal.

Also, is your address current on your DL? If not, then you need a government document with your current address on it.

Yes, my address is current on my DL, I've done the PPT process with no problem many times before I was just worried the temporary dealer registration wouldn't be sufficient enough. I'll be doing the PPT in Turners in Corona so I'll bring that Rental/Lease Agreement and the Temporary registration in addition to my DL and I would imagine I should be good to go right?

I don't know Turners well enough to comment. With regard to what CA DOJ accepts yes you are good to go.

Others may comment about Turners and what documents they will accept. There is an official account for them here so you might want to check the vendor forum and PM them as well.

Turner's in oxnard will accept a lease even one from your parents ive heard them mention it to other people but it does have to be over a certain number of days old don't remember how many. The Turner's in Oxnard from what I've seen tries really hard to get people approved and will work with you.

But for the love of God go anywhere but Turner's for a PPT, I love Turner's and buy almost all my guns from them but they are the absolute worst place for a PPT considering you'll probably have to wait an hour just to get started. If ur ppt is off roster then you'll really want to go elsewhere

Edit: driver printout doesn't work, only for address correction.

Ffl03 and Coe trumps all, that's enough with a driver's license
