Outdoor range

I live in the San Bernardino area and the place i shoot closed. I dont want to drive to Barstow. Any suggestings open areas that are legal. I dont know much about lytle Creek.

Lytle Range is a poor choice in.my opinion.

Lots of newbies there with unsafe practices and the RSOs there seem a bit too focused on other things.

Just my 2 cents worth.

There are 2 Ranges in the Lytle Creek Area. WEGC is at the Approach to Lytle Creek and is open FRi-Sat and Sun to Limited Members. The Other is a Public type of Range and open to all People. Try them both and you Decide.

Is hodge rd too far a drive? Great place, free admission, they even let you shoot your unregistered SBRs and bump stocks

Looks like west end gun club has flooding issues.

Its a dirt road crossing a wash. I have a lifted 4X4 but its going to be a rainy week.

NOTE: Range staff indicates the rocks are significant in size and we will need assistance or special equipment to move them out of the way. The water flow may not subside soon. It may be several days or more before creek crossing is safe to cross. Updates will be posted here. Tuesday, Feb 19, 2019

Hodge Rd. is a great place to go, outdoors, no fees, shoot what you want (don't forget to take your targets home), and close to food, if you are so inclined. The only BUT to the place is the drive, about 1 1/2 hours on a Saturday, Sundays are rough due to the Vegas return crowd.

Just go up to lytle creek, 10 mi up the road from the WEGC turnoff.

Sometimes the 300 yd range is open when the weather is cool and wet.
