Looking for a source for really cheap pistol barrels for a class

We are looking for a source for some really cheap semi-auto pistol barrels to use in the cleaning section of a basic pistol class. We need 4 of them that match, so we have one per group.

The barrels need to have rifling and not be cracked, but otherwise they don't actually have to work. We will never install these in a gun.

I see a few listed on eBay for like $70. Has anyone seen a source that has them cheaper?

I tried calling a few manufacturers (S&W, Ruger) and was told that barrels that fail QC are not for sale due to liability.

Check with a local gunsmith and see if they have any old barrels in their parts bin.

Not sure what you want to spend...but on eBay right now there are probably a dozen barrels for $30 or less. Shipping might be another few bucks...

Any reason why you can’t have the students disassemble their own pistols and clean their own barrels? Save some money for you, and the students learn how to strip and clean their actual pistols.

The students in this class mostly (90%+) don't own any guns yet. This is the most basic of the basic class.

We can't have the students in the middle row table pointing guns at the students in the classroom's first row table or the third row table.

We do hands on exercises one on one when we need a safe direction, but there isn't enough time to have each student field strip a pistol one at a time. We have more interesting hands on exercises we would rather use that time with.
