A daily job confiscating guns from people who may try to violently keep them from me.
No thanks.Originally posted by Kestryll:

The best part is that they get trained and then leave.
It's a way to game the system. Get training and get paid and bail out before the need to actually force confiscation on people who may have a from my cold dead hands attitude.

I thought the democrats were going to use existing street gangs for the house to gun confiscation programs. Guess that program died when Republican Pro Gun Trump got elected.
Guess its time to sweeten the bounty. An idea not lost on California democrats to be certain!Comment

I see no problem taking guns away from those convicted of crimes or mentally unstable (have been checked into nut houses)Comment

The problem is the list of prohibited persons can be expanded.
One DUI = no guns. Too many traffic tickets = no guns Traffic accident meds involved = no guns.
It's a slippery slope. Be careful about what you think is ok.

They spent all the money going after legal gun owners. I wonder how much the state spent on the Farmer case that they lost.I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.Comment

Maybe if they would quit using those resources for confiscating weapons from non-prohibited persons, they wouldn't have that problem.Comment

California is a lost cause. The left has spent the last ten years creating a situation where their super-majority cannot be overturned. No amount of fair play will ever be able to correct this, and that's their end game.
You can stay here if you want, tilting at windmills makes for good comedy. Me, I'm leaving as soon as I retire (early 2020). There is no better place geographically or climate-wise, but politically, California is lost. Thinking it will change, or that you can change it doesn't change the fact that it won't, and you can't.
The one upside; property values here make retiring in free states easy if you currently own a home.Comment
