Guns stolen - please be on look out - Pleasanton, CA

Got the dreaded call this morning that my storage unit was broken into.
Bad guys ransacked everything. The 2 shtf rifles I kept there were stolen.
(Haven't fully inventoried what else were stolen)

Actually the bad guys hit 17 units there sometime between Sat evening and this (Monday) morning.

Please be on the look out for:

Yes police was called and they're still onsite doing their thing.

Those storage facilities generally have good video surveillance. Cops should be able to get some good leads.

Sorry to hear that OP. I had a gun stolen a few years back and thankfully it was recovered. Took almost 2 years to get back because it was held as evidence.

Hopefully they are recovered soon without any issues. Had to complete a LEGR form to get the gun back. (Fee's are waived if its stolen).

Daylight video isn't too bad at the ones I have seen but the after dark ones SUCK.

These are inexpensive and replaceable guns so I don't really care if I get them back or not. I actually had both for years and never shot them. I care about indirectly causing somebody harm or adding to the case for the antis. Well, also the feeling of getting violated.

Yes the facility has surveillance. I don't know if what they have is good enough.
I'm happy the police appears to be serious about this.

I had a storage unit broken into. They used bolt cutters to cut the lock. They did not get anything of value, but I still felt violated. The guys from the SO were very helpful and managed to get some prints and some footprints. Never heard if the caught the bad guys, though.

I feel your pain, and hope you get your weapons back.

Sorry to hear it. Hope they catch the low-lifes.
I have half my gun collection in a storage unit, but they're in a gun safe and the facility has 24 hour armed security.
Nothing is 100% secure, but you do what you can...
