Selling Brass for Scrap?

Ihave about 30 pounds of brass that's sitting here, the bulk of which is not reloadable (a lot I wouldn't trust, even with a Berdan reloading setup; lots of cases with impending separation indications).

Does anyone know of a place in or near the East San Gabriel Valley area that will take brass and what their rates are? The only place I've found so far is pick-up only, and you have to have a few hundred pounds of whatever you'e selling for scrap for them to bother.

Search your area under recycling. It's not worth much. The place near me weighs it as dirty brass.

My local yard gives me $1.65 per pound last time I was there with scrap.

I have a second barrel getting full and a barrel of spent primers that will also go this next time. IMO, it's a fair deal and some easy money.

That's a good price. I only got .85 a pound.
