    CPRA membership

I thought it might be a good idea to join the CPRA and support 2A rights in Kalifornia. It would also serve to make me eligible to order a CMP Garand. As of today, it's been four business days and my order of a membership still hasn't been processed. How long did it take you to get your online membership processed? Is the CPRA a professionally run organization? Just seems like an online membership order should be processed sooner.

Mine took a few months. I did the same as you, going for my first CMP purchase a few years ago. It took WAY too long. There has recently been much discussion on this forum about how lame the CRPA is.

      Dont Tread on Me

Remember that the CRPA supported the mail order ammo ban. Take a look at the organization. The ruling body is closed and not elected by the members. I spend my money with the NRA and find other ways to get my CMP credentials.

A few months?!! WTF? $18 bucks down the drain.

I ended up joining my local CMP affiliated shooting range to satisfy the club membership requirement. When my CRPA life membership card finally showed up I sent a copy of that to the CMP as well, so I wouldn't have to keep sending in a new copy of my local shooting range membership card every single year.

Have you thought about joining the Garand Collectors Association. That might be the second cheapest alternative behind the CRPA.

Or what about the Jet Propulsion Laboratory Gun Club in Pasadena?
