Anyone else feel it's the same old same old AFA guns these days?

After not buying any guns for years I bought three last year.

Now the reason why I stopped buying guns for awhile was because I never saw anything I wanted to have. It was the same old 1911s, Glock and Glock wannabes, castrated ARs and the usual revolvers in the same tired calibers.

I'm back to this feeling again. Especially after the OC gun show. It was just table after table of the same stuff. There's maybe one gun I want these days, a takedown 10/22 with the Magpul stock and that's more a novelty which can't compare to my present 10/22.

Anyone else feel the same way? Is it because of our limited choices?

If you're bored with center and rim fire guns, have you tried black powder?

Personally I find when shooting with friends who have different stuff than I do I'll start wanting guns I'd never considered before. Since getting into C&R's a couple years ago I've picked up stuff I never had an interest in before. I also have black powder I need to start shooting more.

I'm just the opposite, I have a lot of modern firearms (ARs, Tavor, Polymer Handguns, 1911 style handguns) but I look at guys shooting older semi-autos and I keep thinking I need to get one or two. There always seems to be something else I would like to get.

It's our limited choices.

If/when the roster falls and the AWB is stricken down, we'll have the same choices as the rest of the America. When you walk into a *proper* gun store, with all the latest and greatest, I'm pretty sure you'll be again like a kid in a candy store.

I find it’s about shooting better targets. Do some trap/skeet and go vaporize some ground squirrels and get back out of that funk.
