    Glock 29sf or 30sf

Good day Team. Give me your input. Which should be next to join the family and why?

Tough one. Of course the correct answer is "both", but I would start with the 30 unless you frequent areas with very large bears. There are +p 45 rounds that approach 10mm ballistics, and practice ammo is a lot cheaper. That said, the 29 is sweet.

I would take the G30 SF

stick with a common caliber, especially if you already shoot other .45's like the M1911 or the G21

the 10mm is best in a full sized gun , not a good choice for a compact

No 30S on the poll so I can’t vote. I have a G29G4 which is by default a SF frame like all Gen 4 frames, but I carry a 30S which is a G30SFG3 frame and G36 slide. That thinner slide makes all the difference if you’re carrying it all day.

If you are considering a G30SF I’d hold out for a G30S to come around.

30sf because that's what I have. I know the merits of 10mm but I still like my 9mm and 45ACP.

Go with the 30. It really works. The frame and caliber are a great match.

Very soft accurate shooter. My first 45. Would love to have a thinner slide but the roster... I've carried mine at 5 o'clock in an a alien gear 2.0 on walks. You will feel it with a full mag its heavy. Definitely more for winter carry or a decent jacket covering it. I have a shield that lends itself more to appendix carry. Put an agency arms trigger and ghost avenger connector since stock serrated trigger was horribly painful after a few mags. Great gun

Can you use the trigger and connector on your CCW where you are? Down here in the OC you can't do anything to your carry gun except sights.

Hmmm did I say that I officially was ccwing it? My apologies. Not in my county. Lol but I can verify that over a thousand rounds thru this current setup with trijicon HD night sights and a grip force adaptor along with Vickers mag release and slide catch that it's a great reliable gun. 0 failures. Definitely need big hands though. My wife has small hands and won't shoot it. She doesn't feel comfortable with how big the grip is. She loves my HK p30 and is very accurate with it but only in single action, her trigger finger cant reach in double action. So definitely verify you got bear paws.

If I was going 10mm I'd want the full size. Just for the extra umph factor. If you wanted a grip chop later on but still take advantage of the longer barrel for the powder that might be cool too

                    I voted 29SF, cuz 10mm that's why! You can get a G30 slide and mags and then you'll have a .45 too.

I'm partial to a glock 30sf. I carry with no mods to it. I don't notice the weight and don't find it significantly different from a glock 19 with 10 rounds.

I just went through the same analysis and picked the Glock 29SF. I threw over all my .45s in favor of the 9mm a few years ago for CCW. But I’m also a hunter and outdoor guy and some hunts occur in bear states. Carrying an all steel revolver has gotten heavier as I’ve gotten older. I needed a different level of power than 9mm. I’m also a reloader so I can support the caliber if CA succeeds in choking off all ammo purchases. I just ordered it from Buds.

I've got both, love both, both serve their purpose. Looks like you're probably close to me in SoCal - hit me up if you want to meet up to take them both for a test drive...

I like the 10mm in the SF, but many of my buddies who have shot it do not. If nothing else, it's been a good game changer for them to not buy it. I don't hear the same for the 30sf, yet they both feel similar to me in power/recoil once comfortable with both of them...
