Prince 50 Mag-lock kit

I sold nearly all my guns, including both my ARs to fund another purchase some time ago. I still have the shooting bug though and would like to maybe pick up a stripped lower and build it up into a mid-length carbine, something a bit more powerful than my 10/22 (the only rifle I currently own). Is anyone still using the old prince-50 mag lock kits? I know all about the bullet button ban, so I'm thinking this and a 10 round magazine may still be a viable option for ARs in California. Maybe you could put red thread locker on the screw to make it permanent even.
