I bought my first when Chiappa came out with the XCaliber and Dave Canterbury was pushing them.
I mostly use them in my '79 Topper 88.
I bought one in .40 S&W and it was surprisingly accurate with the 7" tube with about 6" of rifling. A hoot to shoot out to 30 or 40 yards IME.
I also have a Short Lane 8" in 38 Special which is comically accurate with my 2.2 700x or 2.8 Bullseye loads behind 158gr. I reload 38 dirt cheap and can put the bead on anything with that adapter out to 50 yards.
I bought an XCaliber in 44 Mag but haven't used it much.
Really wanting to pick up one in 22 LR and I'm sure it'd be great fun.
Anyone else have a good time with the upper end rifled adapters for their single shots, O/U's and double barrels?
